Role: Software Quality Assurance Tester Location: Austin, TX (Remote) Must have 12+ years of experience Must have State experience Job Description: The Software QA Engineer performs advanced and/or supervisory computer systems analysis and team lead work, administering the daily operations and activities of testing teams within the Quality Assurance (QA) section of IT-SEDS (Information Technology Statewide Education Data System). Work involves planning, budgeting, and analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing systems. This position will work with the QA Automation team to provide the following Software Testing Services: 1) Lead the Automation team in using GitHub CoPilot to increase Automation Productivity 2) Experience with Automation testing methodologies, including unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and acceptance testing 3) Experience in Selenium or Playwright and TestNG using Java Language 4) Experience in API testing with REST-assured based frameworks 5) Work with development team and customers to clearly understand the functionality under test to define and implement test case automation and clearly communicate to the team 6) Perform SQL queries to analyze and manipulate data 7) Perform manual testing and data validation The QA Automation team supports the Automation effort of all the Texas Education Agency applications.
